The Crusader Fund supports Valpo’s student-athletes by providing expanded operating expenses for the Athletic and Rec Sports Departments. All 19 of Valpo’s NCAA Division I varsity sports need quality coaches, trainers, academic support, travel and recruiting budgets to field competitive teams. The Crusader Fund supplies the money that makes enhancements to all these areas possible.

Valpo Crusader Athletics serves as a common touchstone between students, faculty, fans, alums and the local Northwest Indiana community. Many of the most visible events that the University engages in are athletic contests that involve packed arenas, internet streams to all corners of the globe, and national television broadcasts that are viewed by millions around the country.

With this in mind, Valpo is deeply committed to sustaining athletic programs that reflect both the quality and the values of our University. What better chance to show who we are? That is why the coaches and student-athletes of the Athletic Department are committed to being “Champions in Competition, Classroom and Community.”
