Valparaiso University head women's tennis coach Michelle Mahoney has announced that Sarah Hoffman has joined the coaching staff as an assistant coach for the upcoming season.

Hoffman played for the Brown and Gold from 1993-1997 and was a Second Team All Mid-Continent Conference selection as a junior and senior.

She has taught tennis previously for the Valparaiso Parks and Recreation Department.

Most recently, Hoffman has served as a group fitness supervisor for Omni 41 Health and Fitness Connection in Shererville, Ind. and prior to that was the facility director/assistant director of informal recreation at the University of Virginia.

Hoffman earned her bachelor's degree in sports management from Valpo while gaining her master's degree in recreation administration from Eastern Kentucky University.
