Valparaiso University coach Tracy Woodson has announced the Crusaders' 2007 baseball schedule, his first campaign since taking over the Brown and Gold program.

The Crusaders will open the season on March 3 with a doubleheader at Longwood. Valpo then heads to Bradenton, Fla. for the spring trip March 6-11 before swinging up the East Coast for games against North Carolina State, North Carolina-Greensboro, and Richmond.

The home campaign begins the weekend of March 23-24 as former Mid-Continent Conference member Chicago State along with future conference member South Dakota State visit Emory G. Bauer Field.

Valpo's final Mid-Continent Conference season begins at home on April 20 as Centenary comes to town, and the regular season ends May 20 against Southern Utah. The Crusaders will move to the Horizon League beginning July 1, 2007.

Big Ten foes Indiana and Purdue will also visit Valparaiso while the Crusaders will take to the road to face the likes of Northwestern and Notre Dame during the 2007 campaign.
