Valparaiso University’s head athletic trainer, Rod Moore, has announced that Kasi Hodge will be joining the Crusader athletic training staff for the upcoming season as an assistant athletic trainer.
Hodge will work directly with women’s soccer and women’s basketball, as well as overseeing the cross country and track and field programs. With the Crusaders, she is directly responsible for injury treatment, prevention, and rehabilitation of Valpo athletes.
Hodge arrived at Valpo after serving as a graduate assistant at Georgia State the past two seasons, where she worked directly with the school’s volleyball and women’s soccer programs.
Previously, she did an internship with the Atlanta Silverbacks, a women’s United Soccer League team in which she helped provide comprehensive care at all of the team’s home events.
Hodge also has previous experience working as an athletic trainer at Charlotte Country Day School in Charlotte, N.C. as well as with Carolinas Heathcare.
Having earned her Bachelors of Science in Athletic Training from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte in 2006, she worked as an athletic training student for two years with the 49ers’ programs. She then earned her Master of Science in Sports Medicine from Georgia State University in 2009.
