Six home matches, including four home Horizon League contests, as well as a trip to Puerto Rico highlight the 2011 spring women’s tennis schedule announced by head coach Traci Young.

The Crusaders will open the spring slate on Feb. 5 with a home contest against Ball State at the Northwest Athletic Club.  Once the Brown and Gold returns from its spring trip, Valpo will also entertain Horizon League foes Milwaukee, Green Bay, Detroit, and UIC in addition to a non-conference tilt against Indiana Wesleyan.  The match against Milwaukee on March 19 is the Horizon League opener.

Valpo will head south to Aquadilla, Puerto Rico over spring break.  The Crusaders have three matches schedule, and will face Big East foe Connectict, Atlantic Coast Conference opponent Virginia Tech as well as Bryant while enjoying the sun.

The Crusaders will wrap up the 2011 season April 17 with a conference match at Wright State before heading to the Horizon League Championships in Indianapolis, Ind. April 22-24.
