Crusader Men Fourth Heading into Horizon League's Final Round
Josh Kalita led the Crusaders in round two with a 76.

Valparaiso’s men’s golf team is in a tie for fourth place with Wright State after the second round of the Horizon League Championships on Saturday at Mission Inn Golf and Tennis Resort in Howey-in-the Hills, Fla.

The Crusaders posted 318 in round two, and are tied at 631 with the Raiders, just one shot behind third place Loyola (Chicago).  Cleveland State leads the way at 616 followed by Detroit three shots back.  Green Bay is sixth at 633 followed by Youngstown State (634) and Butler (635).

Josh Kalita (Chesterton, Ind./Chesterton H.S.) led the way for the Brown and Gold with a second round 76 on the 6,933-yard, par 72 course.  He’s tied for 11th overall heading into the final 18 holes at 156.  Kyle Henning (Brookfield, Wis./East H.S.) and Brad Winters (Elgin, Ill./Saint Edward H.S.) both sit at 158.  Henning shot an 83 on day two while Winters fired a 79 for the second straight day.

Thomas Wettstein (Neenah, Wis./Xavier H.S.) and Andy Webb (Bedford, Ind./North Lawrence H.S.) are both at 161 after shooting 81 and 83 respectively.

Cleveland State’s Andrew Bailey leads the individual standings at four-over par 146, holding a one shot advantage.
