Breast Cancer Awareness Week Continues With Home Events This Week

The Valparaiso University Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) will be raising money for Susan G. Komen for the Cure at home events throughout the remainder of this week as part of its Breast Cancer Awareness Week.

SAAC will be manning tables at four different sporting events over the next four days, selling t-shirts as well as accepting donations for the cause.  The Crusaders already raised over $200 at last Saturday's women's soccer game against Youngstown State, which kicked off the week-long fundraiser.

The Crusader teams will also be supporting breast cancer awareness, wearing pink jerseys, socks, hats, shoelaces, as well as showcasing pink in other ways.

The events at which fans can support breast cancer awareness include Wednesday night’s men’s soccer game at Brown Field against Wright State (7:30 p.m.), Friday night’s volleyball match at the ARC against Wright State (7 p.m.), Saturday afternoon’s football game at Brown Field against Marist (1 p.m.) and Saturday night’s men’s basketball exhibition at the ARC against Saint Joseph’s (Ind.) (7:05 p.m.).
