Valparaiso senior midfielder Rachel Hoaglin (Lakeville, Minn./Academy of Holy Angels) has been named to the National Soccer Coaches Association of America [NSCAA] Scholar All-North/Central Region First Team for her work both on the field and in the classroom.

Hoaglin closed out her Crusader career by helping Valpo to a 10-win campaign, starting all 19 games in the midfield. The senior contributed a match-winning goal in the Crusaders' Horizon League victory at Cleveland State and also registered an assist on the match-winner at IPFW. Hoaglin ended her four years at Valpo seventh in program history in goals (15), ninth in assists (9) and sixth in points (39).

In the classroom, Hoaglin boasts a 3.76 cumulative grade point average as a marketing major. This marks the second straight year Hoaglin has earned NSCAA Scholar All-Region recognition, as she was a Third Team honoree last season. Hoaglin also earned Academic All-Horizon League honors a year ago and has been a member of the Horizon League Academic Honor Roll each semester eligible.
