Gerardot named All-Horizon League Second Team

Valparaiso junior forward Tabitha Gerardot (Fort Wayne, Ind./Canterbury) received Second Team All-Horizon League honors on Monday afternoon.

Gerardot, who posted 10 double-doubles for the season, led the Crusaders with 15.0 points and 9.0 rebounds per game. She finished seventh in the league in scoring and fourth in rebounding.

In league play, Gerardot posted eight double-doubles, including tying a career-high with 33 points and 18 rebounds against Wright State. She averaged 17.1 points per game (fifth in the league) and 10.3 rebounds per game (third) against Horizon League competition.

Gerardot was HL Player of the Week three times this season. This is her second regular-season honor from the league for her Valpo career after being named to the All-Newcomer team as a freshman.

Valparaiso begins postseason play when the Crusaders host UIC in the first round of the Horizon League Tournament at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, Mar. 11 at the Athletics-Recreation Center.
