Antonijevic Inks Professional Deal With Fort Lauderdale Strikers
Stefan Antonijevic signed with the Fort Lauderdale Strikers.

Former Valparaiso men's soccer player Stefan Antonijevic became the second Crusader alum to sign a professional contract this month, inking a deal with the Fort Lauderdale Strikers of the North American Soccer League as announced by the club this week.

Antonijevic played three seasons for the Crusaders (2009-2011), tallying eight goals and three assists over 59 appearances. He earned Second Team All-Horizon League honors in each of his first two years while playing in the midfield. Antonijevic then moved to center back as a senior in 2011 and earned Horizon League Defensive Player of the Year honors, as well as being selected to the All-League First Team and the NSCAA All-Great Lakes Region First Team. He anchored a back line which surrendered a school record-low 14 goals in 20 games and won the Horizon League regular season championship.

Antonijevic joins goalkeeper Kyle Zobeck, who signed with FC Dallas of Major League Soccer, as former Crusader players who have signed professional deals this month.
