VUAA Hosting Event at White Sox-Mariners Game July 5
Former Valpo baseball standout Lloyd McClendon is the current Mariners manager.

The Valparaiso University Alumni Association invites all alumni, as well as their families and friends, to U.S. Cellular Field on Saturday, July 5 at 1:10 p.m. as the Chicago White Sox host the Seattle Mariners, managed by former Crusader baseball standout Lloyd McClendon.  Valparaiso men’s basketball head coach Bryce Drew will be throwing out the ceremonial first pitch before the game.

The event will be held in the Upper Terrace Suite at U.S. Cellular Field, with access beginning an hour and a half prior to first pitch.  The event includes a game ticket, access to the suite – which also includes outdoor seating, unlimited food and beverage and a raffle featuring prizes such as a Jose Abreu autographed jersey.  A number of Crusader coaches will be in attendance, including Drew, women’s basketball head coach Tracey Dorow, football head coach Dave Cecchini and baseball head coach Brian Schmack.

The cost of the event is $90 apiece for 2003 or earlier Valparaiso University graduates and their spouses, as well as all guests.  2004 or later Valparaiso University graduates, their spouses, all children and current Valparaiso students are $50 apiece.  Registration for the event is open now by visiting alumni.valpo.edu.
