Monday, September 11, 2006
The Mid-Continent Conference announced Monday that Valparaiso University forward Kendall Brown (Lake Zurich, Ill./Catholic Central H.S.) has been named the league's Offensive Player of the Week following her efforts in a pair of Crusader victories over the weekend.

The sophomore scored a pair of goals in Valpo's win at Belmont on Friday evening. Her first tally came with less than seven minutes remaining in regulation to force overtime before she tallied the match-winner just 28 seconds into the extra session. She is now tied for the team lead with three goals on the season.

In addition, Brown had four shots in the match at Lipscomb on Sunday, three of which were on frame.

In her career, Brown now has four match-winners, tied for fourth in school history, while tallying 13 total goals, fifth most of anyone wearing the Brown and Gold.

Brown and the Crusaders will return to action for the Mid-Con opener on Friday afternoon as Valpo travels to Macomb, Ill. for a 4 p.m. contest against Western Illinois.
