The “Wallace Watch” narrowed the field to 64 candidates aiming for the 2008 Brooks Wallace College Player of the Year Award. The three Wallace Award finalists will be announced following NCAA Super Regional play.

Brett Bivens (Battle Creek, Mich./Lakeview H.S.), Dan DeBruin (Combined Locks, Wis./Kimberly H.S.), and Josh Wallace (Bellefontaine, Ohio/Bellefontaine H.S.) all were recognized for their play in the five games in which Valpo participated.

The Crusaders, the tournament’s sixth seed, will face seventh-seeded Butler at 2 p.m. CDT in a single elimination game, with the winner facing third-seeded Youngstown State on Wednesday to begin the double elimination portion of the tournament.
