Crusaders to Host Another Game on ESPN2
Tuesday, February 12, 2008

For the third time in less than a month, the Valparaiso University men’s basketball team will host a game at the Athletics-Recreation Center in front of a nationwide audience on an ESPN network, as ESPN2 will be broadcasting live from the ARC on Saturday, March 1 as the Crusaders host Wright State.  The game time has been moved to 11 a.m. CST for broadcast purposes.

The game will be shown as part of ESPN’s Judgment Week as conferences wrap up regular season play.  It will be the final regular season game for both the Crusaders and the Raiders, who matched up in Valpo’s first-ever Horizon League contest on December 6 in Dayton, Ohio.  The hard-fought game featured 11 lead changes, with the Crusaders eventually ending the game on an 8-0 run to take a 71-66 victory.

The March 1 game will be the third time in less than a month that the Crusaders have been featured at the ARC on an ESPN network, joining the February 5 tilt against Butler that aired on ESPN2 and the February 23 matchup with Miami that will be on ESPN Classic.  Valpo is one of just six schools with three home games being broadcast on either ESPN, ESPN2 or ESPN Classic during that time span, joining Indiana, Louisville, Notre Dame, Syracuse and Villanova.
