Four Valparaiso University student-athletes received the Arthur Ashe Jr. Sports Scholar Awards as selected by Diverse: Issues in Higher Education magazine. The award recognizes minority undergraduate students who have made achieving both academically and athletically a winning combination.
Valparaiso University awarded 115 student-athletes with Presidential Honors while also handing out the Laurel Award at the 17th Annual Academic Honors Banquet for Student-Athletes which was held on Sunday evening in the Athletics-Recreation Center.

His presentation will focus on Valpo’s athletics program and student athletes. The web conference, a live meetingpresented over the Internet, is free to the public.

WVUR (95.1 FM-Valparaiso) has announced that the student-run radio station will broadcast more than 40 live baseball and softball games this spring beginning with the Crusader baseball game on Sunday, March 2 against Indiana in Clarksville, Tenn.
