Valpo Men's Tennis Sets Spring Schedule

            Valparaiso University head men’s tennis coach Jim Daugherty has announced his 2008 spring schedule which includes five home matches at the Valparaiso University Tennis Complex.

            The Brown and Gold open with six straight road matches and eight straight contests away from Valpo beginning on February 2 at Ball State.  The Crusaders also have trips to DePaul, Eastern Illinois, Western Michigan, and Northern Illinois during the early non-conference part of the schedule.

            Valpo opens its inaugural Horizon League slate on February 29 with a match at instate foe Butler.  The Crusaders then head on their annual spring trip to Orlando, Florida for a couple of matches.

            The home campaign opens on March 29 against Bradley, and begins a stretch of three home contests in four days as league foe Youngstown State and state rival IPFW come to the Valpo Tennis Complex.  The Crusaders also have a home match against Wright State and close the season at home against Cleveland State on April 19.

            The Horizon League Championships involve all seven league schools and will take place April 25-27 in Indianapolis, Ind.
