Valpo Women to Hold 2008 Summer Basketball Camps
Monday, February 25, 2008

The Valparaiso women’s basketball team will be holding its 2008 summer camps this June and July.

Skills Day Camp I and Varsity Prep Camp will take place Monday through Thursday, June 23-26, both at a cost of $195.

The Skills Day Camp is designed for girls entering grades 2-8 to develop the fundamental skills of basketball.  Daily competition and written evaluations take place at the end of the camp.

The Varsity Prep Camp is new this year and is designed for serious high school athletes who want/need to improve their basketball skills as well as game situation preparedness.  The camp will be run by coaches with many years of high school as well as college coaching experience.  They will be assisted by college players.

On Tuesday, June 24, the Crusaders will host an Elite Camp.  This is a teaching and competition camp for sophomores, juniors, and seniors.  Players should have successful experience at the varisity level.  The cost of the one day teaching and competition camp is $60.

A Team Camp will be held Friday and Saturday, June 27-28.  This camp is designed for high school varsity and junior varsity teams along with their coaches.  There are various cost options for this camp depending on whether the camper is a commuter or a boarder.

Skills Day Camp II will run Monday through Thursday, July 21-24.  This camp, like Skills Day Camp I, is designed for girls entering grades 2-8 to develop the fundamental skills of basketball.  Daily competition and written evaluations take place at the end of the camp.
