Wallace Earns League's Baseball Honors

            Valparaiso University’s Josh Wallace (Bellefontaine, Ohio/Bellefontaine H.S.) has been named the Horizon League’s Player of the Week after his performance over the seven games last week.

            The sophomore infielder hit .429 (9-for-21) with three homers and nine runs batted in last week while compiling a .538 on base percentage.  He highlighted the week by homering twice and driving in six runs in game two of Wednesday’s doubleheader at Marshall.

            Wallace currently leads the Horizon League with six homeruns and 17 RBIs while ranking second with a .389 batting average.

            The Crusaders begin Horizon League play on Friday evening in Dayton, Ohio against Wright State with first pitch set for 5:30 p.m. CDT.
