Valparaiso baseball signee Kyle Gaedele of Arlington Heights, Ill. was chosen Friday by the Tampa Bay Rays in the 32nd round of the 2008 Major League Baseball Amateur Draft.

Gaedele, who signed a National Letter of Intent in December to attend Valparaiso starting in the fall of 2008, went to the Rays with the 953rd overall pick of the draft.  Gaedele, a three-year starter in the outfield at Rolling Meadows H.S., hit .440 as a senior with seven home runs and 28 RBIs.
