Crusader junior outside hitter Angie Porché (Lynwood, Ill./Thornton Fractional South) has been recognized by the Collegiate Volleyball Update (CVU.com) as one of its Top Performers for the third time this season after her performance in Valpo’s season-ending sweep at Western Michigan.

The Horizon League Player of the Year stood out in Valpo’s sweep of the MAC regular season champions, tallying a match-high 20 kills while swinging at a .357 clip.  She also recorded 14 digs on the back line for her 20th double-double of the 2008 campaign.

For Porché, it was her third such honor of the season from the CVU.  She previously earned ‘Top Performer’ accolades after being named Tournament MVP at Notre Dame’s Shamrock Invitational and to the All-Tournament Team at Indiana’s adidas Classic.
