The Valparaiso University women’s basketball program will host its 14th annual Fall Coaches’ Clinic on October 10-11 at the Athletics-Recreation Center. The event will feature five collegiate head coaches as well as a high school coach.
Northern State University men’s head coach Don Meyer, who is the second winningest NCAA coach in history with 891 victories, will give presentations on “Game Preparation and Game Day Follow Through” as well as “Transition Offense”. Villanova University head women’s coach Harry Perretta, who has tallied 536 career victories and is 21st on the active coaching victories list will present “Motion Concepts” and “Set Plays from the Half Court and Sideline”.
Head coach Paul Patterson, who has won 636 career games and taken Taylor University to 14 NAIA national tournaments, will speak on “Pack Defense” and “Triangle Offense”. Steve Brooks, the head women’s coach at Indiana Wesleyan will give a presentation on “Transition Defense/Press Offense” while Jan Conner, the girl’s coach at Lafayette Jefferson will present both days as well.
