The Valparaiso men’s basketball team will host Akron at the Athletics-Recreation Center on Saturday, Feb. 21 at 7:05 p.m. in a matchup derived from the ESPNU BracketBusters pool.

Akron currently carries a 13-8 overall record and is 4-3 in Mid-American Conference play.  The two squads have met just four times in program history, all in the early 1990s, with the Zips emerging victorious in all four games.

This will be the third time in their five years of participation in the BracketBusters pool that the Crusaders will host a game at the ARC.  Valpo previously defeated Niagara on Feb. 18, 2006, 88-82, and earned a 99-94 double overtime victory over Miami (Ohio) on ESPN Classic last season on Feb. 23.
