Valparaiso and Cleveland State will have to wait one more day to open their three-game weekend series as Friday’s schedule opener slated for Pipe Yard Stadium in Lorain, Ohio has been postponed due to steady rains. The game will be made up on Sunday at a time still to be determined.
The Crusaders and Vikings will now open their series on Saturday at 11 a.m. CDT with the previously scheduled doubleheader at Pipe Yard Stadium.
This is the second straight weekend Valparaiso (9-12, 4-2 Horizon) has had weather affect a Horizon League schedule. Last weekend’s series with Milwaukee was moved forward one day in order to get the games in before inclement weather moved in for the weekend.
