Valpo Men to Take on Instate Rival Butler in Horizon League Quarterfinals

Valparaiso’s men’s tennis team will take on rival Butler on Friday afternoon at 12 p.m. CDT in the quarterfinals of the Horizon League Tennis Championships held at North Central High School in Indianapolis, Ind.

The Crusaders, the tournament’s sixth seed, dropped a close 5-2 match with the third-seeded Bulldogs on April 15 at the Valpo Tennis Complex.  The winner of the Valpo-Butler match will face the winner of #2 seed UIC and #7 seed Detroit on Saturday at 10:30 a.m. CDT in the semifinals while the loser will face the loser of the Flames-Titans contest at 3:30 p.m. CDT on Saturday in the consolation draw.

The winner of the Horizon League Tournament will receive an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.
