Valpo's Jarad Miller Earns Third National Award

Valparaiso University’s Jarad Miller (Fort Wayne, Ind./Carroll H.S.) has been named to CollegeBaseballInsider.com’s All-America Second Team for his performance during the 2009 season.

Miller set Valpo’s single season save record this year with 17, ranking third in the nation this year.  He posted a 2.16 earned run average in 25 innings of work while opponents hit just .178 against him in 2008.

For his career, the sophomore right-hander has a school-record 26 saves.

Miller was also named to the Louisville Slugger NCAA Division I All-American Third Team by Collegiate Baseball newspaper as well as the All-Ping!Baseball Honorable Mention.
