Six Crusader alumni returned for the inaugural women's tennis alumni tournament held early Saturday morning at the Valpo Tennis Complex as part of Homecoming weekend at Valparaiso.

"It was great to have the alumni back in town and give our current team a chance to meet them and also play against them," head coach Traci Young said.  "Hopefully with the turnout we had this year we can get even more back to join us next year." 

Joining the current team for the morning's competition were Whitney Chada (2003-2007), Jill Dierberg (2002-2006), Kim Sajevic (2005-2009), Christina Scala (2001-2005), Jenny Schwartz (2005-2009), and Mara Sonkin (2000-2004).

The alumni played the current team in both doubles as well as single, playing eight-game pro-set matches in each.
