The Valparaiso men’s soccer program has once again been honored as a recipient of the NSCAA Team Academic Award from the National Soccer Coaches Association of America, earning recognition for the ninth straight year.

The award is presented to soccer programs annually with a composite grade point average of 3.00 or better for the academic year, including both fall and spring semesters.  This year’s honor was for the 2010-2011 academic year.

The Crusader men posted a cumulative GPA of 3.14 over the academic year to receive the honor from the NSCAA for the ninth straight season.  Valpo was one of just three Horizon League men’s programs to earn recognition for its work in the classroom, as the Crusaders were joined by Butler and Loyola.
