Four Crusaders Named to NABC Honors Court

The Valparaiso men’s basketball team placed four players on the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) 2011-2012 Honors Court, as announced by the organization this afternoon.  The Crusaders’ four players were the most honored from any Horizon League school.

Senior Nick Shelton (3.700 GPA, sports media major) was joined by juniors Ben Boggs (3.706 GPA, sports management major), Ryan Broekhoff (3.366 GPA, exercise science major) and Kevin Van Wijk (3.339 GPA, Spanish major) on the NABC Honors Court.  To be named to the NABC Honors Court, players must be an upperclassman academically, be enrolled at their current school for at least one full academic year and carry at least a 3.20 GPA.
