The Valparaiso men’s basketball team will host Eastern Kentucky out of the Ohio Valley Conference as part of the Ramada BracketBusters event on ESPNU on Saturday, February 23 at noon, the Crusaders learned Monday evening.

The Crusaders earned the television game, their fourth time being selected for a TV game as part of the event, after ending last weekend with a 17-6 overall record and a 7-2 mark in Horizon League play, good for a half-game lead in the league standings.  Valpo is 2-1 previously in BracketBusters TV appearances, defeating Miami (Ohio) on ESPN Classic in 2008, 99-94 in double overtime, downing Missouri State in 2010, 80-67, on ESPN2, and falling last year at Loyola Marymount on ESPNU, 61-53.

Eastern Kentucky also owns a 17-6 overall record and is currently 7-3 in the OVC.  The Colonels feature a pair of high-scoring guards, as both Mike DiNunno and Glenn Cosey score better than 15 points per game and hit greater than 40% from beyond the 3-point line.  Valpo and EKU have just one common opponent, as both squads earned victories at Murray State earlier this season.
