Crusaders continue play at NCAA Columbus Regional

Valparaiso’s men’s golf team posted a team score of 308 at in Friday’s second round of the NCAA Columbus Regional at The Ohio State University Golf Club in Columbus, Ohio.

The Crusaders are in 13th position after 36 holes, with a two-round team score of 617. UNLV and South Carolina are tied for the lead.

Senior Austin Gaugert (Lake Geneva, Wis./Badger) paced the Crusaders on Friday with a 3-over par round of 74. Gaugert made three birdies on the afternoon. He is tied for 45th place with a two-round total of 152.

Junior Kyle Henning (Brookfield, Wis./East) posted a round of 78 to give him a two-round total of 155. He is tied for 64th.

Senior Andy Webb (Bedford, Ind./North Lawrence) is in 68th after shooting a round of 76 on Friday. He has a 36-hole score 157.

Junior Thomas Wettstein (Neenah, Wis./Xavier) is tied for 69th with a 36-hole total of 158, while fifth-year senior Brad Winters (Elgin, Ill./Saint Edward [Dayton]) is tied for 72nd at 160.
