Senior Ellen Vanden Berg (Little Chute, Wis./Little Chute) represented Valparaiso on the Blue & White Classic All-Tournament Team last weekend.

Vanden Berg paced the Crusaders over the course of the tournament with 1.40 blocks/set, tallying six blocks apiece against #13 Ohio State and Maryland Eastern Shore. She also came up with a team-best 10 kills on .400 hitting in the Crusaders' sweep of UMES in their tournament finale.

Vanden Berg now ranks third in the Horizon League, averaging 1.20 blocks/set on the season, while her performance last weekend moved her into eighth place in Crusader history with 328 career blocks. Vanden Berg, who previously earned All-Tournament honors this year at UCF, and the rest of the Crusaders open Horizon League play this weekend with a Saturday afternoon contest at UIC.
