Lundeen Lands Second HL Pitcher of the Week Award

Sophomore Dalton Lundeen (Streamwood, Ill./Streamwood) was named the Horizon League Pitcher of the Week Monday for the second time this season.

Lundeen led Valpo to a 2-0 win in game two of Saturday's doubleheader against Wright State. The left-hander logged seven shutout innings, surrendering six hits and one walk. He struck out six Raiders in the process. Lundeen improved to 3-0 in his career against Wright State.

He now possesses the Horizon League's lowest earned run average at 2.57.

The Crusaders (11-14, 3-3 Horizon) will take on Northwestern (4-22, 1-7 Big Ten) Tuesday afternoon in a 3:00 pm CT first pitch in Evanston before hosting Youngstown State (4-20, 0-5 Horizon) in a three-game set at Emory G. Bauer Field this weekend.
