Grask Inks Professional Contract in France
Former Crusader Alex Grask is playing professional football for Kangourous de Pessac in France.

Senior Alex Grask (Naperville, Ill./Central) has signed a three-game contract with the Kangourous de Pessac. The team is located in Pessac, France, a city near Bordeaux. The Kangourous compete in France's Elite Division.

"It's incredibly cool to be getting paid to play football," Grask, a captain on the 2013 Crusader squad, said.

The first installment of the three-game contract was last Saturday, April 5th. The final two games are scheduled for Saturday, April 12th and Saturday, May 10th.

Grask was an integral part of the Crusader football program from the day he stepped on campus. He appeared in all but two games for the Brown and Gold. In 2012, he led the team in tackles (113), fumble recoveries (3), and fumble recovery yards (74).

An international business major, Grask was named to the Pioneer Football League Academic Honor Roll from 2011-2013. In 2011, he earned the prestigious Valparaiso University Student-Athlete Presidential Academic honors.
