Director of Athletics Mark LaBarbera announced the promotions of Kim Smith and Traci Young to Associate Directors of Athletics on Monday morning. Smith will inherit the role of Associate Director of Athletics for Compliance in addition to serving as the department's Senior Woman Administrator (SWA). Young accepts a promotion to Associate Director of Athletics for Life Skills while retaining her position as head women's tennis coach.

"Kim and Traci have demonstrated a strong commitment to supporting a quality experience for all students in the Athletics Department. I am pleased to recognize their contributions and efforts with these promotions," LaBarbera said.  

Smith and Young join Stephen Anthony, Anne VanKeppel, Homer Drew and John Kuka as Associate Director of Athletics within Valparaiso University's Athletics Department.
