A trio of Valparaiso University women’s tennis players rebounded after dropping Set 1 on Saturday at Flames Outdoor Tennis Courts in Chicago, coming away with victories in their respective singles matches. Freshman Claire Czerwonka, junior Meg Modesto and sophomore Jordan Kopfer all captured dramatic triumphs to pave the way for a successful day. Czerwonka was named the individual singles champion of the event.

The Valparaiso University women’s tennis team returned to action on Friday, participating in the first day of the two-day UIC Invitational held the Flames Outdoor Tennis Courts in Chicago, Ill. The highlight of the day for Valpo was the performance of freshman Claire Czerwonka, who picked up a victory at No. 1 singles against UIC.
