Brad Collignon joined Valparaiso's sports media relations department on a full-time basis in July of 2013, having spent the majority of the 2012-13 academic year as an intern. In addition to his work with media relations, Collignon served as the Crusaders' director of baseball operations for the 2012 and 2013 championship seasons. He also worked two stints in the newsroom and sports department at NewsRadio 1120 KMOX, the CBS affiliate in St. Louis.

A native of the St. Louis area, Collignon is the primary contact for football, men's and women's cross country, women's basketball, baseball, and men's and women's tennis. Some of his duties include preparing game notes, compiling recaps and special features, coordinating interviews, and managing the athletics website. Additionally, he provides color commentary on the Valpo Sports Radio Network during road football games.

Collignon was one of just seven national winners in CoSIDA's 2014-15 Fred Stabley Sr. Writing Contest for his season preview of Valpo Baseball. He also claimed District 5's Coach/Administrator Profile & Historical Feature Award for his piece on women's basketball coach Katie Loosvelt's chilling experience at the 2013 Boston Marathon.

He also has collaborated with Fred Villarruel, the Director of Marketing for Athletics, on a number of special features including men's basketball assistant coach Roger Powell's return to Champaign, Valpo alum Patty Cisneros' journey to two Paralympic gold medals, and men's soccer's #oneVALPO initiative.

In addition to his media experience, Collignon also possesses a professional background in sales, marketing, and corporate purchasing.

A member of the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA), Collignon is a 2008 graduate of Illinois College, where he graduated cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in communications. He received his master's degree in sports administration from Valparaiso University in 2013. Collignon and his wife, Katie, reside in Valparaiso with their dog, Bixby.
