Jason Burgess joined the Valparaiso athletic training staff as a graduate assistant, beginning with the 2012-2013 academic year.  He will be responsible for working directly with the Crusader football and baseball teams.

Burgess spent a semester apiece during the 2011-2012 academic year working at Grand Haven H.S. and East Kentwood H.S. as an athletic trainer, working with numerous in-season sports over the course of the year.  He also gained valuable clinical experience during the spring of 2012 working with NAIA in-season sports at Davenport University.

While working towards his undergraduate degree, Burgess spent the fall of 2010 working directly with the Grand Valley State University football team.  Burgess earned his bachelor's of science in athletic training, exercise sciences - clinical emphasis and health science from Grand Valley State University in August of 2012 and is currently working towards his master's degree at Valparaiso.
