Phil George joined the Valparaiso University staff as Associate Director of Digital Media for Athletics in January 2017. He is responsible for the production of original video and graphic content for marketing, entertainment and recruitment purposes, as well as the management of Valpo Athletics’ social media platforms. 

Prior to his role at Valpo, Phil worked in creative media capacities for several professional and collegiate sports organizations, including Loyola Marymount University, Major League Baseball Advanced Media, the Los Angeles Dodgers and five years of experience in Minor League Baseball.

Phil graduated from the prestigious S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University in 2013 with a degree in Broadcast and Digital Journalism. At Syracuse, he was on staff at the WJPZ-89.1 student radio station for four years and covered several collegiate and high school sporting events, including the 2013 NCAA Men’s Basketball East Regionals in Washington, D.C.
