Valpo Baseball Announces Annual Golf Outing

The Valparaiso University baseball program has announced plans for the annual Crusader Baseball Players Association Golf Outing, which is slated to take place on Saturday, Sept. 21.

The event will be held at a new location this year, Valparaiso Country Club located at 2501 Country Club Road in Valparaiso, IN. The 23rd annual Valpo Baseball Family/Son and Alumni Golf Weekend will be the biggest fundraiser of the year for the Valpo baseball program.

Registration for the golf outing starts at noon leading up to a 1 p.m. shotgun start. Other events during the weekend include a gathering at Buffalo Wild Wings restaurant at 7 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 21 and a Family Day on Sunday, Sept. 22 at Emory G. Bauer Field. The Family Day features an Alumni vs. Player Home Run Derby followed by a kids game and lunch at Emory G. Bauer Field. Head coach Brian Schmack will lead a tour to alumni on Sunday and discuss clubhouse and field improvements and plans for the upcoming year.

The cost of registration for the golf outing is $155 and includes lunch, three drink tickets, valet service for golf bags upon arrival, driving range, use of the clubhouse, locker room, personalized scorecards, team scoring on event scoreboard at the end of the round, personalized golf cart signs, golf, cart and on-course contests.
