Brad Collignon

Brad Collignon joined the Valparaiso University baseball program as director of baseball operations during the 2012 season.  The 2012 season saw the Crusaders tie a school record in wins with 35 as they advanced to the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 1968.

A St. Louis area native, Collignon oversees many of the behind-the-scenes aspects of the program working alongside the coaching staff. Some of his responsibilites include assisting the coaching staff with practices, collecting data for pre-game and post-game scouting reports, and coordinating travel accommodations for the Crusaders. 

He served as pitching coach of the Collinsville (Ill.) Post 365 American Legion team from 2006 until 2010 before taking over as manager of the Miners in 2011.  

Collignon also possesses a professional background in sales, marketing, and corporate purchasing.  

As a player, Collignon won 14 games as a pitcher at Illinois College.  He was 7-1 with a 1.02 ERA his junior year, the third lowest earned run average in college baseball that season.  He was voted Midwest Conference Pitcher of the Year, First Team All-Conference, and named to the All-Midwest Team.

Collignon is a 2008 graduate of Illinois College, where he graduated cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in communications.  He is on track to receive his master's degree in sports administration from Valparaiso University in May of 2013.  Collignon resides in Valparaiso.
