Valparaiso University’s Adam Rundh (Aalborg, Denmark/Orjanskolan [Sweden] H.S.) has been named an ESPN The Magazine Second Team Academic All-American as voted upon by CoSIDA.

The junior defensive end already had earned First Team Academic All-District V honors to become eligible for the national award.

Rundh finished the season with 42 tackles this season, including 8.0 for loss.  He led the team with 2.5 quarterback sacks, has broken up a pass and recovered a fumble.  He also blocked three kicks on the year.

An Honorable Mention All-Pioneer Football League selection last year, Rundh carries a 3.92 cumulative grade point average as a double major in international business and finance.  He has been a two-time Academic All-District pick.

To be eligible for Academic All-District and Academic All-America, student-athletes must hold at least sophomore status, own a minimum grade-point average of 3.30, and be either a starter or key reserve.  Academic All-America selections are made from the First Team All-District picks.
