Valpo’s Blair Named to PFL All-Academic Team

Valparaiso University senior offensive lineman Nate Blair (Crete, Ill./Andrean [Ind.] H.S.) has been voted to the Academic All-Pioneer Football League’s First Team for his efforts both on the field and in the classroom.

This is the third straight season Blair has been selected to the First Team and he has also been a member of the PFL Fall Academic Honor Roll throughout his career at Valpo.

Blair started all 11 games this season at left tackle for the Crusaders, while starting all 33 contests over his final three seasons.  He is also a three-time Honorable Mention All-Pioneer Football League selection, anchoring the Valpo offensive line.

Earlier this season Blair was also named to the Capital One Academic All-District V Football Team as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) to recognize the nation’s top student-athletes for their combined performances athletically and in the classroom.

Blair is an actuarial science major with a 3.84 grade point average.
