The Valparaiso University football team has announced its dates and details for its 2019 summer camps.
Three one-day camps will be held this summer: Camp I on Thursday, July 11 from 3-6 p.m., Camp II on Friday, July 12 from 4:30-5:45 p.m. and Camp III on Saturday, July 13 from 7:30-8:45 a.m. All three camps will take place at Brown Field, the home of the Valpo football program.
The camps are open to players entering grades nine through 12 and will provide a competitive and educational experience. The goal of the camp is to improve each attendee and help him become a better football player prior to his high school season. Those attending the camp will work with Valpo’s experienced coaching staff. Sessions will be a balance of instruction, skills and game experience. Athletes will learn the latest methods in training and technique.
The cost of each camp is $30 for pre-registered individuals and $40 for walkups or anyone who registers on the day of the camp.
Specialists are asked to arrive 30 minutes earlier than the camp start time. All camp participants are required to bring a helmet and cleats. Those players who do not have a helmet may participate in all drills and instructions but may not participate in 1-on-1s. Quarterbacks are required to bring their own footballs.
