Soliday Named Valpo Director of Football Operations

The Valparaiso University football program and head coach Landon Fox have announced the hiring of Madison Soliday as the program’s Director of Football Operations.

Soliday has been involved with the Valpo football program since March 2017, first as an undergraduate manager and then as a graduate student handling operations. She graduated from Valpo with a bachelor’s degree in finance and sports management in May 2020.

“Madison is willing to do whatever it takes to make our program successful,” Fox said. “There’s no job too big or too small. She has been an instrumental part of our program for a long time, and we’re thrilled to reward her with a full-time position. She takes a lot of pride in her work handling football operations. Her goal is to help people. She helps our coaches be the best coaches they can be and helps our players have the best experience they can have with our program. She does all the behind the scenes work that nobody knows about and nobody gets credit for. It’s a thankless job. Madison doesn’t need the limelight and is willing to do whatever she can to make the program successful, and that’s not just about wins and losses. It’s about the experience that our student-athletes are going to have while they are at Valpo.”

Soliday’s responsibilities include planning travel, serving as a liaison with campus services, coordinating on-campus recruiting, developing team itineraries and managing schedules for coaches and student-athletes while also coordinating all aspects of the program’s day-to-day operations.

“I am extremely grateful to be taking on a larger role within the program,” Soliday said. “Having been a part of the last two seasons as a student manager, I am looking forward to the new challenges this role presents. Coach Fox is building something special here, and I’m excited to be part of it. We are in for a thrilling and competitive season.”
