Brandon Sturman moved from the field to the sidelines for Valparaiso University as an assistant coach in charge of linebackers to begin the 2006 season.

An Honorable Mention All-Pioneer Football League North selection in 2005, Sturman finished his career with the Brown and Gold with 224 tackles, including 16 tackles for loss.  He recovered a pair of fumbles, forced three, and picked off two passes, while blocking a pair of kicks in his four years with the Crusaders as a linebacker.

Sturman graduated from Valparaiso in 2006 with a bachelor’s degree in sports management and is currently working towards a master’s degree in sports administration from the University which he is slated to complete in May, 2008.
