Spring 2021: Appeared in five games during his first season on campus… Had four tackles for the season including two solos… Made a pass breakup on March 20 vs. Drake… Had the game-ending interception on April 17 vs. San Diego, securing Valpo’s upset win over a Toreros team that was receiving votes nationally. That marked Valpo’s first win over San Diego since 2003 and USD’s second league loss in its last 42 PFL contests… Member of PFL Academic Honor Roll.
Prep: Three-year varsity letter winner… Was a two-time all-conference honoree… Helped his team reach the state finals on three occasions and win the 2018 Illinois state title… Competed in wrestling starting at the age of 5… Four-time wrestling state qualifier in high school... Served as a team captain in 2019… Garnered academic all-state honors in 2018 and 2019.
Personal: Majoring in business… Son of Yesenia and Roberto Carillo… Has two older brothers, Rob and Cristian, and one younger sister, Katherine.
