2023: Appeared in 10 games and made nine starts...  Had 16 tackles including seven solos, three tackles for loss and three sacks... Had a season-high three tackles on three occasions – Sept. 9 at Indiana Wesleyan, Sept. 30 vs. Southwest Minnesota State and Nov. 4 vs. Dayton... Named All-PFL Honorable Mention at long snapper.

2022: Named to the Jerry Rice Award (FCS National Freshman of the Year) Watch List... Earned All-PFL Honorable Mention at both defensive line and long snapper... Played in all 12 games... Had 52 tackles (23 solos), 11 TFL, 6.5 sacks and two forced fumbles... Tied for fifth in the PFL in sacks and was one of nine players in the league with multiple forced fumbles... Ranked fourth in the nation in sacks by a freshman... Had 2.5 TFL in the Sept. 3 opener vs. Indiana Wesleyan while also forcing a fumble... Had a pair of sacks on Sept. 24 vs. San Diego...Boasted a season-high seven tackles including 2.5 TFL while also forcing a fumble on Nov. 12 at Marist.

Fall 2021: Played in four games... Made his collegiate debut on Sept. 11 at North Dakota State and had one tackle... Also played in the final three games of the season on Nov. 6 vs. Presbyterian, Nov. 13 at Butler and Nov. 20 vs. Morehead State.

Prep: Three-year varsity letter winner… All-conference choice… Had six tackles, two TFL and two sacks in a game against Newark… Served as a team captain as a junior… Received secondary academic honors.

Personal: Son of Kathleen and Lawrence Spelman… Has two older brothers, Ryan and Brad… Enjoys fishing, ping pong, chopping wood, bowling, lifting and cheering for the Green Bay Packers.
