WYIN 56 to Carry Mid-Con Tournament Semi-Finals Live

WYIN 56 in Merrillville, Ind. will be one of six stations nationwide to televise the semi-finals of the 2006 Mid-Continent Conference Men's Basketball Championship live, Monday, March 6, the league announced today.

The semi-final games, scheduled to begin at 6:00 and 8:30 p.m., will be shown in their entirety on local cable outlets in Missouri, Oklahoma, Indiana, Illinois and Michigan. The tournament championship game, Tuesday, March 7 at 6:00 p.m., will be televised to a national audience live on ESPN.

WYIN 56 has already aired five Valpo men's basketball games live this year and will carry five more before the end of the regular season, including Saturday's 7:05 p.m. matchup with Western Illinois.

The Mid-Continent Conference Men's and Women's Basketball Championships will be played at the John Q. Hammons Arena at the UMAC in Tulsa, Okla. for the second consecutive season, beginning March 4.
