Valparaiso men's basketball signees Max Joseph and Tevonn Walker recently concluded their final season playing for Vanier College (Saint-Laurent borough, Montreal, Quebec), helping to lead the squad to a fourth-place finish at the Canadian College Athletic Association (CCAA) national championships. Along the way, both Joseph and Walker earned numerous individual accolades as well, highlighted by Walker's selection to the All-Canadian Team.

The Cheetahs finished the regular season at 16-2, winning the RSEQ league championship. Vanier then won the Provincial Championship, winning a pair of games to advance to the CCAA national championships for the third time in the last four years. There, Vanier won its opener in overtime before dropping a narrow one-point decision in overtime in its semifinal game. The Cheetahs would win a qualifier into the bronze medal game, but fell in the bronze medal contest - a game Walker missed due to injury.

Walker ended the season as one of just ten players named to the CCAA All-Canadian Team, and was also lauded as RSEQ Player of the Year and a First Team All-Star. He led all RSEQ teams and finished 14th nationally, averaging 20.8 points per game for the Cheetahs. The 6'1" guard also tallied 4.8 rebounds and 2.3 assists per game, and finished fourth in the league with 2.6 steals per game.

Meanwhile, Joseph stood out for Vanier at the national championships, earning First Team All-Star accolades at the national tournament. A RSEQ Second Team All-Star, Joseph filled out the stat sheet, averaging 10 points, 5.9 rebounds and 3.4 assists per game, the latter mark ranking fifth in the league. The 6'1" guard hit his free throws at a 76.4% clip, second-best among all RSEQ players, and also led the league in assist/turnover ratio as well.
