The Valparaiso men’s basketball team will host two of the eight games that will comprise the Horizon League Network Game of the Week package, as announced by the league office today.

Created in conjunction with WebStream Productions and CVM Productions, the eight-game syndicated series will begin on Jan. 2 and continue through the last day of the regular season on Feb. 27.  All games will air on Saturdays at 1 p.m. CST, and each of the Horizon League’s ten teams will be featured at least once.

All or parts of the HLN Game of the Week package are scheduled to air on Comcast SportsNet Chicago, MyNDY 23 (Indianapolis), MyYTV (Youngstown, Ohio), SportsTime Ohio (Cleveland), Time-Warner Cable Sports32 (Wisconsin) and WBDT-TV Dayton’s CW (Dayton, Ohio) as well as ESPN FullCourt, the network’s pay-per-view service.

All eight games also will be available to fans anywhere in the world via free live video streaming at, which will feature a total of more than 250 live men’s and women’s basketball games this season.  In addition, the six games that will be carried on ESPN FullCourt also can be viewed on where available.

Will Haskett will call the play-by-play, with Damon Lewis providing analysis.  Haskett has anchored broadcasts of various NCAA championships, including Division I golf and Division I and III volleyball.  Lewis is the managing editor of HLN and co-hosts the network’s weekly “Two Sense” segment.

“We are excited about the development of the Horizon League Network Game of the Week,” said Jonathan B. LeCrone, Horizon League Commissioner.  “This eight-game package has tremendous value to our stakeholders and provides another opportunity to tell the stories of our student-athletes, coaches and schools.”

Valpo will first be featured on Saturday, January 16, as the Crusaders host Cleveland State at the ARC at 1 p.m.  Three weeks later, the Crusaders will take on Detroit from the ARC at 1 p.m. in their second appearance in the package.  For a full schedule of the package’s games, as well as a schedule of which games will be broadcast on which networks, visit
